In the 1970s, Church’s began using a pressure fryer, a cooking technique that sealed in the flavor of the chicken as it cooked, making it even more delicious and popular.

In the 1980s, Church’s continued to expand, both in terms of its menu and its locations. It added fish and sandwiches to its menu, and began offering value meals and combo meals. During this time, Church’s also began to advertise on television and radio and opened more than 1,000 locations in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Today, Church’s Chicken is still one of the most popular fried chicken restaurants in the world. It has more than 1,700 locations in more than 25 countries, and continues to offer its signature fried chicken, biscuits, and sides.
